About Me

With over two and half decades of artistic and cultural practice experiences, rooted in Nairobi, Kenya, kefa has thrived at the intersection of dance, film, and cultural exploration. his artistic journey began as a dancer, social worker and choreographer,  leading Tuchangamke Group, a community-based organization that uses movement to explore identity, cultural narratives, and social issues. Over time, he has transitioned into filmmaking and documentary direction through Digi Collective Limited, a media company, he co-founded to capture and amplify the stories of diverse communities and cultures.

As the founder of the Tuchangamke Group, he develops concepts, curate festivals, and leads artistic processes that foster intercultural exchange and multidisciplinary collaboration between east africa and europe. his roles as videographer, creative director, and project curator have allowed him to redefine his way of work—shifting from individual endeavors to collective projects across Africa and Europe. These experiences have opened doors to some of the top cultural institutions and agencies across continents.

his work, whether through film or dance, is inspired by a deep desire to explore and question cultural, historical, spiritual, and socio-political subjects that transcend borders. From the stages of Nairobi to the cultural landscapes of Europe, and the rest of the world, he continues to merge passions in the pursuit of artistic expression, community empowerment, and global dialogue
